Press-GLPI

Launched in 2003 and supported by the INDEPNET association, GLPi is an open source ITSM tool. In 2009, Teclib’ became integrator of the solution within the companies and finally become a Platinum Partner of the project. Buoyed by this success, the GLPi project accelerated in 2015 within a new home: Teclib’.

GLPi, why and to whom?

GLPi is an inventory tool, asset management and Helpdesk, very popular for any type of organization or business having an IT infrastructure to manage. From the small local community to the CNAMTS, or from an SME to a service company, GLPi is present within many organizations that use it as well as its many plugins. GLPi enables an administrative management, an assignment of property, equipment life cycle for network equipments, workstations, monitors, printers as well as physical or virtual servers without forgetting telephony or tablets. GLPi includes a lot of features that facilitate the technical as financial management of large and diversified computer parks. Coupled with Helpdesk, GLPi is a powerful integrated solution. Within the IT world, the brand and technology diversity is very important, that explains the necessity to have a cross-platform tool, independent from manufacturers in order to manage the growing number of physical or virtual IT items.

GLPi at Teclib’: going international

GLPi Expert for the past 6 years, Teclib’ follows an editor strategy and wishes to develop a comprehensive network of international integrators and contributors. The solution has many partners in France but still too few partners abroad, while its international expansion exists and its use is widespread. Teclib’ seeks to provide its marketing, commercial and technical strengths in order to bring together players around this technology, and gather new means allowing its international expansion. The solution will stay free and open source and the entire code will remain under GPL. Teclib’ is more than ever inviting curious and passionate contributors and users of the project, to make themselves known to the company.
A comprehensive partnership program is available for integrators in order to bring new developments, share experiences and needs that will help building the future versions. It will also allow Teclib’ to build the GLPi roadmap with the partners and community’s help. Teclib’, as an editor, will progressively migrate to an indirect model for the integration, to focus its development means on the application core and on the editor support.

What does it change?

Positive outlook! Teclib’ will follow on developing and maintaining the project openness. The company wishes to bring more means together by gathering more economic players, users and contributors.
